Rafal Serafin, President of the Polish Environmental Partnership Foundation and Elena Belova, Secretary General of ICSER Leontief Centre, presented the Project and pitol initiative and made a speech about European Heritage Greenways Network and Opportunities to Use Border Regions Position for Com mon Initiatives “Greenways Heritage West Russia” Launch within the framework of IX All-Russian Forum Strategic Planning in Cities and Regions of Russia. CONFERENCE"SAINT-PETERSBURG-GDANSK: CONTEMPORARY CO-OPERATION OF PARTNER CITIES" From 18 to 24 of November, 2010, City Days of St. Petersburg in the partner city Gdansk took place. Irina Karelina, Director General of ICSER Leontief Centre was among the participants of the delegation.The official delegation was headed by Alexander Prokhorenko, chairman of the Saint Petersburg Committee for External Relations. The delegation includes representatives of sectoral committees, universities, organizations, museums and city mass media. In the framework of the conference "Saint-Petersburg – Gdansk: Contemporary Co-operation of Partner Cities", topical issues of cooperation in sphere of economy and innovation, transport and transit policy, science and higher education, culture and tourism promotion were discussed. Irina Karelina made a speech "Gdansk-Petersburg: Common Experience of Working in International Organizations and in Spatial Development and Regional Cooperation Programmes" and "Greenways Russia: Integration of St. Petersburg in European Programmes of Co-operation for the Development of Heritage Green Routes with Central and Eastern Europe Countries".
